ThankU reward card ..

Good question. I just got a thank u card from CNA today, when I got home I could not link it to the Thank U card mobile app and it did not want to create an online account for me to keep track of the thank u card awards, they told me that it appears that the card was not properly registered by the cashiers at CNA, and it is not supposed to take a day for the card to be active or to show on the thank u card system, it is supposed to take two minutes at the shop where you get it, they should register your card and details on the thank you card system immediately. I was told to go and get a new one.

I also immediately went to Engen to fill up on Petrol before I got home to find out from thank u card customer services that my card is not active and nowhere registered on the system.

I also read this on hellopeter:

"
I have been swiping my Edgars thank you card for the past year each and every time I fill up at Engen. ( I spend approximately 500-700 weekly on fuel) When I queried my points balance with Edgars – Thanks U, they have advised the card was never activated, but they have all my particulars, ID number, Cell phone number etc, but do not pick up my thank you card number against my name. I have had this card for 2-3 years and have purchased on the card. Yet apparently it is not linked. I received sms’s at the beginning of the year reflecting my points and Rand value available on the card. Response from Edgar’s is to register for a new card. What about the points I have accumulated over the past year,,,,,,, At the end of the day, I don’t care about the points, but how many other customers are being *****ed over the same way......

All the excitement for a major anticlimax....ha ha ha

Edgars is a mess. And from this, it’s worse than I thought!

We must be lucky then. Every few months I spend about R200 earned only from swiping at Engen

They were dead to me by January 2014 as they had this little gem at the bottom of my statement for a few months at the end of 2013.

I never ever bothered to open a new account and I never bought anything there since.
