The 2019 medium term budget speech in a nutshell

Finance minister Tito Mboweni has tabled his medium-term budget policy statement before parliament on Wednesday (30 October) detailing government's fiscal goals and projections for the economy, as well as the risks facing the country.

Judging by the rands performance, it's basically nothing new. Except they want to milk the last little bit out of the tax payer.
And they are still harping on about user pay principal on E-Tolls. It's been almost 6 years and it's not user pays you muppet. It's owner pays and at best that doesn't happen. We didn't want it than and we still don't want it now, hardly anyone is paying and you're keeping a dead horse afloat.
Also if user pays why are you not going after Soweto? Why are you still paying out grants which account for 48% of the budget? There's something you could save on? It will also assist the country in population control.
