Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA Coupe Rendered

This styling begs for a coupe variant but sadly Alfa Romeo do not plan on offering this so we will have to drool over the renderings you see here.

Some would argue the GTA treatment would’ve made more sense on a Giulia Coupe considering the original model launched in 1965 had only two doors. The GTAm that arrived a few years later also had a swoopy shape, so the revealing of a modern-day equivalent must have been a bitter-sweet moment for the diehard Alfisti.

I don't understand how they're bringing the gta here but we still don't have the veloce. It was supposed to have launched last year but it looks like they're not gonna bother.

The entry level Giulia is too slow and the QF is too expensive and not practical as a daily driver. The veloce is the sweet spot. Disappointing. I'd seriously consider one if they sold it here.

Get a used entry level Giulia and then do a remap. A lot of people in the UK have done that, apparently all the internals are the same. I am thinking about getting the Stelvio. That is 206kW for you right there

Ya, I am sure K-spec or RGM can do that. But I would recommend you to do some research on Alfaowner.com (UK) or Alfabb.com (US), there are people over there that have done it. So you sort of know a bit of what to do.

Alfa Romeo has no plans to use its famous GTA nameplate on the Stelvio, following the reveal of the Giulia GTA last month.

The Italian maker hopes the renaissance of the GTA badge will help create a halo effect for the brand - especially in the absence of the GTV and 8C rebirths, for which plans were ditched last year - but product marketing boss Fabio Migliavacca said the ethos of GTA doesn’t fit with other cars in Alfa Romeo’s line-up.

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA And GTAm To Cost Over R3,5m

Back in March, Alfa Romeo revealed their highly exciting Giulia GTA and GTAm and now they have released European pricing alongside some bespoke liveries available for the most powerful road car they have ever built.

The Giulia GTA will start at £153,300 while the stripped-out GTAm comes in at £157,700 making it the most expensive new Alfa Romeo ever sold. The 8C Competizione supercar, which went out of production in 2010, carried a £112,000 price tag.

Using a simple method of interpolation, those prices ‘equate’ to around R3,6m and R3.7m for the GTA and GTAm respectively.

The firm’s Centro Stile design arm has taken inspiration from the original Alfa GTA’s best-known motorsport victories for a range of available liveries, including a yellow and red paint scheme that harks back to the 1971 European Touring Car Championship-winning car. Standard colours, including Trophy White, Montreal Green and GTA Red, are also available.

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA Price Announced

To celebrate 110 years of Alfa Romeo, the Italian brand revealed the ultimate Giulia sedan and revived the iconic GTA name in early March 2020. There'll be just 500 units sold, making it quite collectable.

The 2.9-litre biturbo V6 sourced from Ferrari has been given some tweaks, with power now rated at 403 kW, from 375 kW and 600 Nm. There's a new Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, identified by the large central exhausts. Performance figures are decent, with a 0-100 kph of 3.6 seconds - faster than the standard car's 0-100 kph in a claimed 3.9 seconds. The Giulia GTA is around 100 kg lighter than the standard Giulia QV it is based on.

At this stage, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA is not confirmed for the South African market, but Alfa Romeo UK has supplied pricing for the Giulia GTA and Giulia GTAm at €176,500 and €181,500 OTR respectively. At the current exchange rate in the first week of May 2020, that puts the vehicles at R3 607 144.91 and R3 709 330.32. In comparison, the standard Alfa Romeo Giulia QV retails for R1 430 244.

Alfa Romeo's hot Quadrifoglio-badged Giulia and Stelvio refreshed!

Alfa Romeo has refreshed the high-performance, Quadrifoglio-badged versions of its Giulia sedan and Stelvio crossover, rolling out subtle design and tech upgrades.

Both the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio gain designed LED taillamp clusters featuring dark lenses, while a new glossy black finish adorns the front "trilobe" and rear badges.

In addition, Mopar has designed a fresh line of accessories for the performance models, including a carbon-fibre finish for the grille, side-mirror caps and spoiler. The Stelvio furthermore features new 21-inch alloys wheels, seen for the first time on a Quadrifoglio.

Inside, the centre console has been tweaked to offer what the Italian firm describes as “greater tactile and visual impact”, along with more storage space. There’s also a new leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever, while buyers will have the option of red or green seatbelts in place of the classic black version.
New upholstery will also be available on both Quadrifoglio models, with leather and Alcantara sports seats as standard and carbon-shelled Sparco seats offered as an option.
