Yeah, if you go back you will see it's been quite the journey. Should have listened to my gut and gotten the V6 TDI one rather but noooo, PhireSide mos wanted to hit his head with that TFSI engine. WRT the speaker, I think the amp might be at fault as the entire right channel seems to have disappeared. They can be had for 10 or so quid from eBay so it's not a train smash.Wow,it just seems to never stop. Hope it all comes right.
Speaker might just be corrosion on a contact or dead speaker.
My sunroof on the a4 tilts and opens but needs assistance to close traced it to a bad roller on a guide but i dont have the patience to look at it again.
Im still hunting for a windshield for my D2 A8 . They supposedly don't make them anymore. That car is a pain to keep going and has had me import parts to keep it going,i can understand the pain

We are selling our 2000 Audi A6, 2.8l V6 Quattro due to relocation. Very rare to find especially in such a great condition! The car is overall in great condition for its age inside and outside. Full Service history & low mileage. The car is in daily use.

What’s the story behind that A6? Looks proper nice.i was looking at a b8 2.0t manual avant in charcoal with cinnamon seats but i lost out on it. Ended up with a Q5 which is now in for the gearbox . If i had taken the avant it wouldnt of had the gearbox issue but had the problem 2.0t motor. Iv learnt to stay away from certain models.
You ultimately have to do research and even then you might have a issue but its for the love of the brand and when it all works its much more rewarding than some other common car on the road.
Here are some pics i have from my phone. I must scratch on my pc to find more. The car sits in jhb warehoused as i dont have space in durban for it and my brother can work on it as he can. The wheels and tyres on it are wrong i know. The original rims are a odd ball size of 225/55/17 and are expensive and hard to find.the old ones are so perished from standing.So its running these off one of the audis my brother has until i can find 18s that suit the styling

Sounds like you atleast making headway with it. Glad the speakers was something small.Really digging the A8, Curt! You really don't see many of them on the roads, especially not ones of that vintage.
Got some more work done on the Avant today when I had some moments spare. Reinstalled the sunroof glass that I took off when I was drying the roof cavity out, fixed the speaker issue (corrosion on the amp connector and pins from water ingress), cleaned out the interior again with a 50/50 vinegar/water mixture to try kill off the mould and unplugged the coils. The last bit was very NB as at present, the oil sender unit is MIA so if I happen to forget that little fact and crank the car, I will end up evacuating the contents of the sump onto the garage floor in a matter of seconds.

I'm waiting for the mechanic to let me know if he is up for taking on my 'project', although understandably he is hesitant to continue on where someone else has left off. Also, my headliner glue has given way in the trunk area, so I will definitely need to get it reupholstered at some stage. I also took the bumper outside and gave it a good wash, along with the parts that aren't installed and were floating around in the trunk. Unfortunately, some of the parts gouged the headlights as well, so they are all scratched up but that I can fix with some flatting paper and a polish at a later stage. When I get my bolts and fasteners back, I'll reinstall the bumper stiffener and put the bumper back on along with the headlights, and then it should start resembling an A4 again![]()

Its a common issue on sunroof vw and audi's and i have heard of alot of this era Tiguan's with a sunroof drain problem
