OK, now you're making me paranoid. I'd better check everything is still there on my A3 as I was parked in dodgy Woodstock last night :erm:

Its a real pain man and an expense

In the last couple of month i have had exterior parts stolen from my Audi A3 2006 model.

First the fog light grill covers were stolen. the they stole the mag wheel centre caps, now they stole my rear windscreen wiper arm and blade. All stolen from different places (mag wheel centre caps were in Durban, the rest different parts of JHB)

Anybody else having these issues?

The valve caps/dust caps on my tyres keep getting stolen

I rarely have to top up on nitrogen and when I do I make sure all the caps are screwed back on but then someone comes along and steals them :erm:

I need to replace my front tyres on my A3 1.8T next month. Any suggestions as to what brand to go for?

The rear tyres also need replacing but they can wait another month as the tread is a bit better on them.

Currently I have Dunlop SP Sport 6060 225/45ZR17 94W tyres in front and Pirelli in the rear (yes, I know sacrilege to mix brands). I never did rotate and by the time i thought of it the factory fitted Pirellis in front needed to be replaced. The front Pirellis only lasted 2 years or about 25,000km. The rear Pirellis have lasted 4.5 years and 55,000km.

The Dunlops have lasted 2.5 years and 30,000km and cost me R970 per tyre back in December 2012 whereas the Pirellis were 1.5k each back then.

Silly question, if I only replace two tyres in June and then two more in July would I have to do wheel alignment each time?

Loved Jiro, never saw the Audi. Absolutely beautiful car that, really want to own an RS Avant one day, starting with a 2007 RS4. Will settle for a sedan, always on the lookout.

It probably an air suspension. So he can raise the ride height

Edit : actually looking at it again. It could just be really low. I've seen a couple of golf's like that

I'm pretty sure it's just low. Many Cape Town folk like very low cars here
