^Could be it's very very pricey for what it is + it's extremely rare in WC side at least.
Was talking new price

I personally think R430k demo /second hand is still a fair bit considering class/size of car.
For a lot of models the S-Tronic oil should be replaced at 60,000km. But got the impression on various Audi forums that not all dealers do it at 60, causing failures later on.Wait until you hit the S-Tronic service. R3,700 - just for the oil. I had to do the oil twice in one freaking month!
For not much more you can get a 2nd hand 8V S3 still under warranty. No brainer.
That's crazy.
Haldex oil? Should be in the region of R800 - R1200 max.
They are ripping you a new one.
$125 for the entire service kit with oil and filters and whatever else.
****
Maybe they charged you for a full case of 12 litres....which is for 3 services.

It's oem specified gearbox oil for the dual clutch system. Being cheap in this area will cost you a new box.
The link I posted and the pricing is for the OEM.
Audi are taking the piss with that R3500 joke.
What a mission though. Unless you DIY just rather pay and get it done. It's every 60 000km so not like replacing engine oil at 15k intervals.

What? 15K, Audi not on 20K service intervals yet?
I don't see why that is considered innovation? What? 15K, Audi not on 20K service intervals yet?
Every car I've seen doing 20k service intervals is either French or Italian...and we know how well they last.
Who else does 20k?
With everything running fully synthetic these days it should probably be do-able, but I see them making a lot more money (out of plan) on non-engine goodies then that are still fine but "won't make it to the next service" as they love to say.
The failure was at around 90k. Mechatronic unit or something (someone here will know the name).
It was due for the service at my 115k service a few weeks ago, but skipped it because already done at 90k. They said at my 130k service, it must be done though. At 122k now.
I'm on 90k kms and think I've got a problem too... Was there any symptoms, or did you have a breakdown? Any problems after that?
I was taking my daughter to varsity - and all was hundreds. As I pulled away from the stop street in the city the car jerked and the dash came up with "Transmission Failure" or something to that effect. Computer told me I could continue to drive, but must get straight to a dealer. I had to be very light on the accelerator, and the car then went fine.
No symptoms leading up to this. It just happened.
EDIT: No problems after the repair - up until my second failure when the plastic oil housing broke - and had to take it in again. Since this repair was done, no further issues - yet.
