Thought I would start this best in town as thread to find the places for all food and cooking related queries.

So where do I find the best burgers in the West of jhb?

please don't say Mcdonalds or KFC.

in Montecasino there is a restaurant called "Gourmet Garage". I heard the burgers are massive. Haven't been to this place yet, but is on my list.

Burger Perfect kills Steers, BK and McD. But I think your question will probably be best answered by a non-franchised institution. The GBC has been punted before (I am not too keen) as has a place at Appletons in Randburg but I forget their name. Their burger was quite forgettable as well.

Will have two try gourmet garage sometime. There use to be a place in Sandton that it closed now. Huckleberry's or something. They had good burgers

Chuckleberry's I think it was. There was one in Linden and at the Greenstone centre. They were expensive. Somehow, people believed that $ = Quality. The lack of the latter was apparent to many patrons, from all accounts I have heard

Meat ect in Benmore sandton is the best IMHO

second was JB's corner in sandton city, but they removed the best burger from the menu.

if you can find a BurgerBox roadhouse they also do amazing burgers, provided (much like any franchise its managed properly)

5 cents on burgerking vs. Steers vs. Burger Perfect:
Steers > BK > BP
Hooha king steer > XXL > BP menu

side note sandton is as far west as I go, I am from the east rand.

Dukes > Rocomamas > Gourmet Garage > *Chuckleberrys

* Chuckleberrys shouldn't even be listed there!
