hi first time here.which south african isp provide's the fastest d/l speed with a 56k dail up connection.

Their all evenly slow ;-)

56k is just that fast really, you have a choice of uunet,saix,is and their offering maximum speed on 56k, so general rule of thumb, look on www.hellkom.co.za for the best price 56k account and that would be good enough.

Well i assume storm is reselling either saix,is,uunet dialup accounts, so all of those are fine. If your happy with the service and get between 4-5k/s on your 56k, it wont get better than that.

There are definitely some dialup ISPs that are worse than others in terms of customer service & support, but generally speed is going to depend on the quality of the line you're using [IMO], and not so much the specific ISP...

I'm with TelkomSA and generally get between 4.5 - 5.5KB/ps. Amf I hit 6KB quite regularly

i with mweb, dont ask why, dads a dumbass for signing up with em. I get on av 5.5KB/ps, sumtyms i am priviliged with getting 6kb/ps!

As far as I know Storm is not reselling SAIX for their dailup, but are using their own infrastructure.
