Value for money the Samsung 2333sw (a bit old but still fantastic) or the 2494. You can shop around get them from about R1600 and up.

Samsung P2350. Better than the 2333SW and only R100/R200 more. Great value for money!

yeah they are newer. not a hell of a lot different though! If your budget is tight the 2333SW is still a good option, but look for the 50 000:1 contrast ratio version, not the older one! But Samsung all the way, nothing else!

I don't know about it being good value because its more expensive but the XL2370 LED Samsung is amazing

I have one and its the best I have sean

Don't waste your time
Go with the Samsung P2370

It's a sick monitor will 2ms Response Time and High Contrast Ratio

The Samsun2333SW is outdated now, the suppliers have stopped releasing them!

+1 for the 2333SW Samsung (or any Samsung), it's a really good screen for general home use and is inexpensive relative to other models - it all depends on your budget and what your primary use is - general, gaming, etc...

Go and get a 2333sw from Incredible for R1300 with their trade-in deal. I gave them an old 15" CRT that was gathering dust.

did you pay 1300 after trading in the 15"? as the ad made it look like you need to trade in another 23" to get the full discount

After trade-in. It's monitor-for- any monitor, so you hand in CRT and getting LCD.

If I trade in my 17" 2 year old LCD, perfect condition, what discount am I looking at? :D

I traded an old 15' CRT for an Acer 24' with HDMI at incredible and paid : R 1899

so they would be giving me R150 or so for my 17"? :/

No, the way it works is, you can trade-in any size monitor. But, your discount increases with the size of the screen you going to buy. So, if you trade in a 14" CRT, and opt to buy the 27" Samsung LCD, you get R800 off the LCD price. I think it's around R2600 including the trade-in discount. Don't have the catalog. If you trade-in for a 19" LCD you get less of a discount.

I was at Incredible and they said that there were only 2x 27" Samsungs left nationwide after checking on the system :-( I so wanted that screen!
