I just remembered.... some one on BB posted an email sent to him\her from SAOL stating that SAOL is coming out with a NEW package that is going to shock their competitors...

LOL...to all my fellow UNCAPPED 384K SAOL customers... THIS IS IT.. :D LOL
 
Being switched over to R139 line and 1gb as 1 may, now to decide on an uncapped package?

Mr hemps i am as confused and shocked as much as you are on this whole saol story . i am lost what to do , keep line with saol and get other uncapped deals or go back to been capped and save some cash ???? i have no idea , such a misson to move line again .. sigh
 
It's a big mission to move the line so staying with them for the time being, R139 is OK for Now I guess.
I'll give it a month and then jump ship if it's not going well with mweb etc.
Not in the mood to struggle for internet just yet.
 
no mission really. Instruct them to move the line back. Telkom will take the line back within 7 to 10 days, just like the move to SAOL. You would hopefully not have a break...

I am moving back to Telkom and signing up at Mweb at 1 May...Sorry, they can go stuff themselves, I went from shocked to angry to dumbfounded to being livid!

I also transfered my line back to Telfarkers from saol and the nail me with R 600+
 
I was sort of expecting a good shock, but then again they never specified ;) But shocked we all are indeed.

I went with option 2 for now, so looking for a new ISP as of next month.

Any ideas? I use it mostly to abuse bandwidth, because uncapped means you have to read mails all day otherwise you will make companies go bankrupt. So any ISPs you can reccomend for evil users like me?
 
For the same price, I'm considering the Openweb GOLD account- should yeild ~85GB. Any feedback on that??

Might go with a vanilla account the first month- see how it works out. Then will try the GOLD- decide if the R/GB ratio is worthwhile. Will post results :D

For the record, I was getting arounf 85GB on SAOL, up and down. I'm on 80 now, with a week to go :D

My line Syncs at 1Mb. So im thinking of keeping the line(what if i cancel the line and it syncs to 384k when i reconnect?

So if my line is still syncing at 1Mb after SAOL kicks me OFF the UNCAPPED list - i will get the 512kb mweb - works out to R450pm.

Still very disappointed with SAOL...but what to do. As soon as more bucks come in...im thinking 4Mb uncapped.

The 1Gb i will be using for my gaming - IF Mweb 512 is not good!
