WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the western world, and Facebook has been constantly rolling out new features to the platform.

These features range from user experience enhancements such as the ability to send file attachments and the implementation of a dark mode, to security-focused additions such as two-factor authentication and encrypted chats.

People seems to think users are loyal to a product or service; they are not.
Just look at myspace --> facebook which was a very quick migration.
BB --> whatsapp also did not take long, the next transition will be even faster.

Yep, its so easy to move over to a new service, and once most of your friends are on the other platform, it will just snowball from there, it has started slowly, but the ads will just push more people over and accelerate the exodus. Even if it is non intrusive ads, just the ads that they put in the status bar will make a lot of people leave on principle

I'm not afraid of change, its all the other people with all their friends on Whatsapp that doesnt want to switch, I can switch, but then have no one on my contact list on Telegram

I was the same 2-3 years ago. Getting people to try Telegram wasn't hard, and for a long time now all my closest friends are family have been on Telegram.

Some of my contacts are on Telegram, but you know old habits die hard. But when more people start moving away from whatsapp and they start showing ads, then it will be easy for people to start using telegram

Telegram feels dated? Are you joking? When did you last use it? Telegram is way ahead of WhatsApp aesthetically and has unlimited theming options.

Unlikely. Telegram is a non-profit. The website is telegram.org and the CEO is epic.
