The big Vodacom uncapped lie

Vodacom should just take a leaf from their peers. Once you reach your cap you are limited to a speed of 0.001 Mbps. According to the industry standard you can still advertise your product as uncapped, even though that's a ridiculous statement.

Well, if you have a maximum rate/speed limit, you are capped.

EDIT: I do realise that the issue is that you might hit FUP limits way before you reach that cap

I had this fight with them in 2019! Took them to the asa for false advertising , as well as icasa, they settled by cancelling my line, and immediate release of it, and the asa closed the case as a “settlement” was reached, never was happy with what went down, as they still advertise fibre as uncapped
 
That's a capped service. Uncapped can maybe include throttling after reaching some amount, but you still retain the connection. Cutting you off, and must buy an additional package, no that is not uncapped anywhere in the world ;-)
 
Lol.. I got a phone call from VC sales rep. Telling me I'm paying too much for my R999 uncapped Rain. He is like VC cost R200-300 pm for same. I laughed... and still laughing...

Is Vodafone unlimited data capped?

There are no limitations to how much data you can use in the UK, but there is a limit on the speed at which you can use your data.
Our Unlimited Lite plan has a maximum mobile data speed of 2Mbps, Unlimited has a maximum speed of 10Mbps and our Unlimited Max plan and Unlimited Bundle let you access our 5G network at full speed.

For reference, "unlimited max" in the UK costs me around R640 when converted, but that includes unlimited voice and text roaming in South Africa (also 25GB per month of data ) at no additional cost.

There are no roaming fees if you buy "unlimited max + 4 additional benefits" and that is £32 a month, at least it is on the invoice....

They market it as uncapped , with a tiiiiny little * saying check terms and conditions

I would be happy to “top up” my data to restore it to full
Speed, but back in 2019 ( not sure about now) they would even allow that to happen , if you hit FUP on the 15th of the month, you were done for the month, end of story
