The Billion 5102sm adsl modem!

My previous netgear router was syncing at 6.5mbits. Ive hooked up my older billion adsl modem 5102sm to a new draftN router. I was having very slow speedtest.net results so phoned axxess to find out why. it seems that this modem is syncing at 2mbits only - I thought it was ADSL2/2+ compatible? For the record my 012 346 exchange is rated at 8mbits now.

I cant seem to find firmware for my modem so it looks like I have to buy a new one? Help appreciated!
 
Thanks. Those are firmwares for the 5102s and 5102 router/adsl modems. Even if I had a firmware, there is no interface that I can go into and do it. Cant find jack. If I hook up the modem to the laptop it doesnt connect and get an IP. damn.
 
Or maybe there are just exchange issues then? hmmmmmmm, sucks ass though, wish I had the other modem to see what it syncs at.
