Do you guys secretly and deep down sometimes wish for the Rand to crash and burn so that your Bitcoins would be worth more? :p

Not really, not until I can get more of my money into it (which I will) :D
For now I've been doing a lot of calculations, speculation and soul searching to try and figure out how much cash I can spare and how much of that should I invest in Bitcoin and how much should go into my Home Loan.
It's starting to look like putting more money into a Home Loan might be a waste given what the Bitcoin market growth is on an annual basis.

Still irks me that I only own 1.02 BTC. *sigh*

I am saying today, buy IOTA. You can thank me in 12 months.

Dude, and I thought buying CVC was a bit of a chore...this seems even more convoluted. So frustrating...almost every coin/token...it seems like there is a different way or only one way to buy it. Then you have logins here, there..all over...same for wallets...this one only supports XYZ...argh. Super frustrating...sure you non-noobs are used to it...but this noob is getting a bit overwhelmed... :wtf:

What, your wife or your balls? :D

I have been lucky that I have always figured out a way to get all these coins - even though I was also just scrambling around finding my way through it all. I reckon its actually easy if you have some spare Bitcoins or even Ethereum that you can play around with. Then send from bitcoin wallet to the exchange wallet that has the coin you are after and buy it there.

Still a noob at all this but I have figured out the crucial parts, portfolio created. Now to wait it out over the next few years and see if I have a diamond in my hand.

definitely, it is a schlep, but it's a small price to pay for being this early.

So a D3 is pulling currently 8000$ a month ex electricity. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong?

I checked with another online calculator, and added 1200W for power consumption and it gave about $6000 per month profit. This sounds too good to be true. ROI in 2 weeks. Anyway I thought that dash used master-nodes (proof of stake). Was there a change?

There was a dip in the difficulty for a a few minutes when I checked, hence the higher value.

Thanks for the guide!

Quick question, I've got a pending transfer of 0 sitting in my IOTA Wallet. Seems to have been created when I did the seeding. Do you know what this is? Is it a problem?
I also have them, no idea what it is for.

Has the D3 just been released? If so then the difficulty value is going to shoot up when people start using asic miners.

That calculator sucks - it should really average the profitability over the past 24 hours and use that.

I calculated $4800/month profit using coinwarz calc - from a D3 doing 15GH/s, using a difficulty of 880K, 1200W power comsumption, 1.80 block reward, at current BTC/DASH rate after deducting my electricity costs. Not bad for an R80,000 miner.
