In other news, it seems Bitcoin Cash is doing terribly even with this spike in BTC.
Think the time has come to sell my measly $300 worth of BCH for some BTC.

My opinion - BCH is a pile of steaming doodie that will just continue to depreciate...

Bitcoin Gold will be an even bigger steaming pile of doodie...

ugh. just bought more BTC at 78k per btc.

Feels like I'm getting shafted buying this high, then 10mins later it's even higher. With my luck it's going to dip to 60k again today. Just watch.

Naa just wait. Dip it will but give yourself three months and you will be fine. Said the same thing when I went in @27k.

I wish the (Luno) exchange had another buy/sell listing option where it would auto-sell if it drops below a certain level. All too often it drops while I'm not around to monitor it.

Was on hunting trip earlier in the year when it corrected into 24-25k and back from high of 30+k. I was not impressed when my regained signal and all my alerts started coming through :(

Thought Luno had that functionality - guess not. Should be standard.

@lunomoney: Why no options for conditional orders (stop loss etc.)?

There is buy and sell orders on Luno...
I don't see it.
If BTC is $5000 and I sell for $4500 that order will go through immediately, won't it? The site gives no indication that I'm about to set a conditional sell order.

(I don't really use luno that often so maybe I'm missing something)

That's not what I'm referring to.

Yip.

Let's say you bought 1BTC for R50k. Now it's valued at R78k. You want to auto-sell everything when the value drops to R55k to protect your buy-in capital with some buffer.

If I set up a sell order in Luno for R55k I'll be the dummy who just sold BTC for R23k less than its value.

What value are you adding to the thread?

His value is in us Bitcoin Holders seeing what we would have been like if we were butt-hurt that we didn't get into Bitcoin. He is the "Oh damn, I wish I bought Bitcoin when everybody said I should, but I didn't!!" guy. It is so sad to see. All he can do is wish Bitcoin will crash so he can see us all being upset about it. What a sad life...

@voicy: I've sent the luno rep a pm with a link to this - will see what they say. They usually reply in public in this thread for all to see.

Awesome!

I'm not a coder, but I couldn't imagine it being too much of a stretch.

Right now we have the option to:

While BTC > X ZAR, do nothing.
When BTC <= X ZAR, buy.

All we need is:

While BTC > X ZAR, activate: # activates your sell order to start monitoring the drop in price
When BTC <= X ZAR, sell. # when price drops to a certain value, sell - instead of selling for X, regardless of the BTC price value.
