Dearest Zulfi,

To explain in a simple way...

There is a ton of excitement revolving around Bitcoin and it's only growing in popularity. This, by all speculation, means that the price is only going to go up and up and up...of course you saw what happened this week. This steep fall scares off noobs (myself included a while back) to panic-sell, but it always* bounces back and then rebounds even higher when people see that it was just a temporary dip and not a final bubble burst.

So far every dip has been a "we told you so, the bubble finally burst and you lost all your money haha." ... only to recover when HODL'ers buy up the cheap coins ... causing the price to rise again and even more aggresively than before.

So learn to buy cheap. This means by in a dip, there will always* be a dip and a next dip and a next dip, followed by a price spike. Then HODL (hold on for dear life) those coins. Put them away and forget about them. In a year they'll be worth way more than now. But still don't touch them. In 3 years they'll be even more. Patience.

So the price has skyrocketed and Bitcoin is the nerd that finally grew into the cool guy and only now do people take notice of it. It's now on mainstream news, CNN talks about it, The Big Bang Theory is doing an episode on it, Netflix documentaries on it, radio talks, and now finally investors who were calling it a dotcom bubble are opening their portfolios to it, even Japan has made it legal tender.

So all in all, chances of it dipping are 100%. This is a good thing because then you can buy coins for cheaper. It will also always* rise again and jump to heights we can only dream of.

* - I say always, because this is the trend. But be VERY careful, there are no guarantees of anything. None of us know. Many of us have been very lucky, others not. None of us can tell you what the future holds, if we did we'd all be multimillionares, due to the nature of the dips. So only ever invest what you're willing to lose. It COULD all crash tomorrow and then you'll have nothing to show for it. But given the popularity and potential of it, its not likely, but it could. It probably won't. But it could. You get what we mean?

So buy in with "pocket money" if you're uncertain, play around a bit and see how it works. Or go all in and risk losing everything with the hopes of big gainz.

I keep buying in, but I'm not using money that affects me in any way. Others have taken out loans to buy more coin. Nobody can say what the future holds...and that's kind of exciting.

This is my experience so far as a noob who joined this year. We have some great advice on this forum by people who know a TON more than I could ever.

Welcome. :)

Dude you're a king! Thanks alot..

Ugh. Stoopid FNB won't let me transfer because I'm not on my "home" connection and won't even allow me to change my daily limits.

I'm almost NEVER home so it's a ball ache. (Or maybe just FNB's parental lock on my bitcoin addiction. :o)

Bru.. i dont even know what a "cme bitcoin future" is.. what research of mine?!
Don't forget to diversify ;)
Dash seems quite promising and I hope you've procured some Ethereum. Ripple will also be a good idea since it's a decentralised ledger.

LTC has shown good performance, but I'm no trader so I can't give any advice on that. I would personally get a bit of both. Ethereum has actually had a major drop on Luno over the past few days. It went past R8000 and now it's under R7000 so I would personally get some. Which wallet are you using for Ripple, if I may ask?

Wallet? I dont know.. im just buying the ripple on altcointrader.. dint think id need a wallet

ETH has shown weird behaviour in the past and it could drop down, but it also might not . I bought a little in case it doesn't go back. I actually purchased some at R5K and made some nice gains.
