Is there anyway one can claim a small amout of BCH and BTG from bitfinex? Can't trade it because it is below their minimum. I transferred by Eth to BTC a while ago without realising i didn't clean out so earned some small amount in the forks. Now I'd like to move all to BTC

This is the point where most people get off the bus. Have made that mistake before!

Really wish this spike would ignite ethereum prices too but nope. It's dead in the water lately.

Worth so little now it's best to just keep it in the hopes of a later spike.

The cryptokitty nonsense makes it come across as a lolcoin despite processing more transactions than anything/everything else. :/

Yeah, it sucks for us with a bit of Eth. They normally track each other quite well, but I think its now media which means people are ploughing into only btc because its all they know. I'm hoping soon though that people will start investigating others once the hype dies down.

what you talking about, heh? #2020HODL

Cue Frank Sinatra's "HODL me too the moon." :D

I'm eager to see what happens to the ZAR after the ANC conference.

Also , side note...if there was any doubt before I'm pretty sure very few individuals will join the BTC 21M club from scratch at its current price.

It's likely that the cryptokitty thing has caused the settling. It has shown a real use case for dApps with good adoption but has also highlighted that the network is not yet ready, so investors are maybe hesitant until that gets sorted out.

Are you asking how to get a small amount of BCH and BTG out of Bitfinex? If it's below trade value is it worth the hassle? (I can't recall what their minimum is).

+1

Usually, with any other asset, I'd be smart to cash out after a 20%+ profit in one day but not here. Anybody who's sold a substantial amount before today is probably kicking themselves right now.

lolcoin :crylaugh:

Yes thats what im asking.
Again if it's below trade value is there much point? Probably pay more for the bitcoin fee to send back to your wallet once you've sold it.

Lol, because BTC handles high transaction volumes so well right? No, I rather think that it's the usual case of when big daddy BTC goes for a stroll all the alts cower in fear

Never said btc handles high volumes well, but does it even need to?

Applications on the other hand require speed and this has shown that the underlying architecture lacks this.

BTC is dominating so much of the crypto market (and growing) cap the last few days. One cant blame ETH for not doing anything.

Which is a shame if you look at how many transactions it's processing. 800k in 24hrs I think.

A colleague of my uncle who lives in the US will esentialy buy himself a Ford Mustang with BTC which he bought for under $500 way back. Uncle said he decided to do it yesterday when the price started climbing and cashed out enough for the Mustang 2 - 3 hours ago.
Not sure exactly how much, but IIRC the Mustang's cost someware around $40 - $50K.

If he waits another year he can buy a Lambo

Anyhow, I bought Bitcoin way way back at 2$ a pop. Sold most of it when it hit 900$. But I kept some, which I'm still holding today.
