Hi all

We're diving into the MyBB world head first, good to be here :)
I'll be around to monitor relevant threads and mentions of Luno, I'll run through everyones queries here as there have been some valid concerns brought up.

I do want to say that we're super excited to be re-launching as Luno. It's a massively exciting time for us and the Bitcoin community as a whole!

Very bad form on their part not even sending out an email about the change.

I agree - they have our e-mail addresses as users, why didn't they communicate it as such? Very poor form :(

It should have been done some time BEFORE the change.

Hmmm... people are edgy enough with BTC exchanges given recent history that having an exchange change it's entire identity overnight without warning like this is really very questionable. FFS my first thought was that the exchange had somehow been hijacked.

To give everyone some background on how things have worked from our end, we've been running through a checklist to ensure that the move over to luno.com went as smoothly as possible, and still runs smoothly.

Extensive testing went into the site, apps and webapp internally on a staging environment, we wanted to launch everyone with some time to do a final bit of testing both internally and with a small group of friends and family before notifying everyone.

That would also avoid a huge rush to the site, and if there were potential issues it would cause more harm than good.

With testing over, we run a mail send to all of our customers, however as I'm sure most of you know that mailers to large customer numbers do take time to process completely.

Either way, let me know what everyone thinks of the new changes and improvements :)

Please make sure your services are stress tested properly so that there isn't a repeat of the January 5th disaster.

Already made some provisions there :)
Downtime was limited to a few minutes though. Granted those where definitely critical minutes, but we did our best to minimise the impact as much as possible.
 
Just signed up with Luno. When clicking on Wallet - Blank Page, settings - Blank page ?? :sick:
 

Hi Luno, glad to see you guys are going places! Anyway, I have a level 2 account (verified my ID but not address). I'm not gonna bother right now as my BTC are sitting there and with the drop I won't be doing much any time soon. Will I somehow be penalized for not fully verifying my account?
 
How far is BTC gonna drop, looks like a good day to buy, yes?
 
What's the url for the btc price index chart that has the black background?
Feels almost like an app when you use it.

Mind replying to that PM with a little more info? I'll need a browser and OS version - I've tried replicating this on Safari, Chrome and Firefox on MacOS and can't seem to replicate the issue you're seeing.
 
That's why I signed up - but can't do jack s#!t on the Luno Site.
I've just made a deposit to the new lumo site.
Waiting for it to clear then purchase btc.
Will let you know if I have any issues.
