When you say 'dump' I guess you mean 'sell'. I'm just wondering, do you have to have people willing to buy at that price?
What if people don't want to buy, hoping the price will drop again?
Yes I mean sell, and the reason that it is going up is because there are more buyers than sellers, so it will be easy to sell. If it has started to dip, then it will be diificult to sell, but on Luno you can opt for instant sell and pay a 1% commission.

Eish wait for a dip or buy now before it hits 20000.
Anyone buying now?

Buying now is too risky in my opinion. If it's not approved you can land up losing badly. The odds are that it won't be approved, and if that happens there will be a huge dip next week, which would be a good time to buy.

I you take a long term view, that's kind of a win-win for current holders that want to accumulate. I wouldn't actually be too upset by a massive dip - even to $500 levels, tbh.

Not even a quick buy & hold over the weekend and early next week leading up to the approval (assuming around the 11th)?
This uncertainty is always tempting to play with.

I agree with you in the long term. I believe that if the SEC says no, the price will dip badly and then recover to at least 25k by the end of the year. If the SEC says yes, then you will score big time.

I believe that the price will hit 20k by next Wednesday, but I could be wrong, and I personally wouldn't take the risk. There is always a possibility that they announce this afternoon for example, that it is not approved, and then it tanks.

There is also some interesting action with Eth, btw. $11 to $20 in a few weeks, although looks like it might be coming off the boil.

Yeah, Dash has also gone a bit crazy. In the past 7 days it went from $25 to $56 and then down to about $46. Crazy times.

Can anyone tell me where I can go to start trading in altcoins and maybe some bitcoins? Is there a local website where I can get started?

I'm guessing now is not a good time to buy.

Depends.... January the price was R12350.... decided it can drop a little then i'm in. Now it's R17450 +

I should probably wait for next week to see what happens with the ETF, seems a bit risky to buy now.

Anyone else experiencing a delay with sending bitcoin to Luno? Had 0 of 3 confirmations pushing on 24 hours now. Sent from coinjar wallet.

Never mind, cleared after 24+ hours and a 5% market price drop... Joy

I'm afraid that's something that's out of our control :(
There are around 50 000 unconfirmed transactions on the Bitcoin network itself which causes issues when sending/ receiving Bitcoin.

That'll cause fairly big delays with Bitcoin transactions, especially if the senders wallet didn't append a decently sized fee for the transaction size. Shoot me a PM with the TXID and I'll be able to give you a better answer :)

Sorry to hear that :(
No glitches from our end yesterday, I was also able to sign in via a Google account this morning.

Was this all in app? Mind shooting our team a line with a little more detail so we can better diagnose this? Our Community team are standing by to help.
