Yeah, but not impossible according to the wording of the edict that conventional crypto currencies can become non-tradeable. There is some hope for NEO because of stated intent to cooperate with government and abide by regulation.
Yea, it's the silly coins making this dangerous when I mention crypto (referring to Bitcoin, etc, CVC, Sia etc) to my "esteemed" investor buddies who only buys Naspers and Shoprite shares they give me the wierd eyes, becuase they think fckToken and gunjacoin and weedpenis is the same as BTC.
China will not ban crypto. It's just clamping down on the ICO's protecting citizens from themselves.
