Yoh... short term memory :D

Yeah well it's relative isn't it? Remember we're down from $5k.

You mean we're up from $2k. Depending on which way you look. Given the growth, it's not much more than a correction.

This is nothing new - a couple of months ago the Chinese exchanges were also closed. BTC will take a dip and then go sideways, then slowly upwards and then Rocket time. We have seen it all before...

Personally I'm tired of all these shenanigans. Same country, every time.

Namibian Central Bank: Bitcoin Purchases Illegal Under Law

OMG! Sell, sell. Sell everything! Lol.
To put it in context. Namibia has a population of 2 million. Probably about 10 000 know what bitcoin is. If that many.
Heck - there is a old law from the German Colonial times that is still in effect. A person may drink two beers during his lunch break.
For some reason no one has ever repealed that one.

That is why I won't invest more than 20% or so of my savings in crypto. We are in the in between stage where things can go either way. There's nothing stopping the EU and the US declaring crypto illegal for some reason.
If they go the other way and officially recognize it, then 20% of my savings will grow enough to make me comfortable.

"For example, Namibia's Exchange Control Act of 1966 "does not make provision for the establishment of virtual currency exchanges or bureaus in Namibia," the central bank said."

WTF.... was there any virtual currency in 1966 ? :crylaugh:

Quote on myself: Like saying in 1982 South Africa's Road agency Act didn't make provision for a$soles on the road... So all you taxi's and fcknuts get off the road now.

In a heavily farting market the only sane strategy is to BAF*.

* Buy and Forget

I disagree. Trade the s**t out of it. My rand value is about the same, but I have about 15% more BTC since yesterday morning...

Dammit, what a great time to buy but I've pretty much put in all I can spare for now.

So you can still cash out your BTC into a Namibian bank account? Just no trading? or am I missing something, I sure hope no companies use payfast in Namibia as you can use BTC to pay for items.

You know it. I just hope it doesn't go up too much before I can invest more. I want to increase my investment in BTC with an additional 100k, but this money will only be available to me by next Friday.

R100K! Jirre dude. Things are clearly looking better in your world than in mine.
My total investment is less than that at this point, hoping to get to R100K soon.

Funny, I'm sort of in the same situation.
I have no additional free cash to buy more BTC until next friday so I'm secretly hoping it drops for the next week and starts rising on Saturday :D
