Now we know that Luno is not the place to be when the market is really moving. Best keep some BTC elsewhere for shoot-from-the-hip trading.

Indeed, I've never had issues in the past, first was yesterday(day before? can't recall:D) and today... but anyway, at least its now over and done with and hopefully people have gotten the 'correction' bug out their systems... onward and upward, next stop, $15k

Nah being mugged is using something like Changelly and have the transaction process for over 18hrs as the quoted exchange rate goes slowly down to 35% and then fail and then being refunded the original crypto at 25% value ...

Not bug, you'll see loads of that in heavy selling and buying, spread spikes as buys and sells over lap canceling out and people trying to get in front of orderbook, even on same pick, you'll see another example in sell orders from 160015, 1k+ spread

The exchanges are in absolute chaos. Spreads of up to $1k between major exchanges. Rumours of DDOS attacks etc. Just hodl. When BTC first hit $1k it crashed back to $200. Sit tight.

To be honest, I think its just growing too fast for exchanges to keep up... 100k a day new people enter cryto or something insane like that, over a few weeks, I pitty the techies trying to hold their exchanges together with the explosion... I'd love to see how many new accounts lunos been getting over last week

Probably not DoS but just major influx in users trying to act on the plunge. Most exchanges recovering rapidly. Bitfinex’s was red across the board for ages. Also loads of automated trading which respond to price fluctuations compound the issue when mixed with regular joe’s trying to make a quick buck but panicking on a 10% loss.

yeah seems to be holding on to 9.8k on most major exchanges, with the usual suspects already over $10k.

Second time I have done this and turned my pc on in the middle of a sell-off missing an opportunity to make some moolah. by the time I had logged in with 2FA, it was too late...
