hey guys Prohashing change payout from BTC to LTC due to high fees. So I'm stuck with LTC and DASH, What is the best exchange and wallet in SA. Luno is accepting only BTC and ETH.

Thank you, is it legit ? any known problems? How does it compare to Luno?
You could also get a wallet like jaxx or exodus and when you have enough ltc either:

1.) move it to a local ltc exchange and cash out for ZAR, or
2.) move it to any international exchange that supports ltc, sell it for BTC / ETH and send that BTC / ETH to your luno account to cash out.

I wonder how many Bitcoin noobs invested their end of year bonus and got burned by the big dip? Hopefully not many.

I dunno...

These last few weeks a lot of people have been talking about it and how they jokingly need more money for bitcoin. All they see is the nice green tail-end of the journey without taking the time to look at just how steep & quick that price rose and that it's due some pullback. If I just jumped into some crazy asset on the stock market without doing some homework I shouldn't be surprised that I came in at the wrong time when the price plummets. When most people hear about something is when the big money is getting ready to sell.

Hopefully lessons learned.
Hopefully some people held on.

I prefer them to Luno, they have 9 different coins trading.
Luno is like an iPhone, no fuss, simple.
Altcointrader is like android, more for the advanced trader.

If you not tech savvy, stick to Luno.

Exactly. It's a great opportunity to make easy money, but obviously do your homework andbe aware ofthe risk. I followed this thread for a month or so before I started. For me, there are 2 main points : Invest with money you are prepared to lose and HODL.

Deffo and the HODL bit. I only invest money I can afford to lose, so started end of Oct with R750 when the price was R109k. Then invested another R1000 end of November when the price was at R167k. All smiling then. Got paid middle Dec and thought, f-it, cant wait so long between deposits so invested R2.5 k when the price was R305k. Needless to say it went down hecticly just after that. Friends said that it is going to dip below R200k when the dip started, so foolishly sold everything when the price was R245k, hoping to cash in at the below R200k. I actually wanted to sell at R260k but it went down so fast that my sale only went through at R245k. Just after I sold it kept going up for a couple of hours so I bought back in at R265k thinking it is not dropping again.

So it went down to as far as R140k two days ago...all my profit lost from 100%. But getting square now at the moment as BTC is rising.

Tried to be smart when I just need to hold

Bitcoin is not for people who are don't do pretty extensive research on their own into how it all works so that they can understand what they are getting into, and how complicated and risky the details can get. You WILL get burned otherwise. We are not helping people by answering complete n00b questions in this thread. Answering some of the basic questions we get is like holding their hand while they walk to the edge of a cliff. If you don't understand what you're investing in then you should not be doing it.

RIDE THE BITCOIN WAVE WEEEEE!!!!!!

I sold everything at 290k and got back in again at 175k. I saw so many people panic buying and selling losing all their profits in the process.

I haven't used coinomi before, but there has to be something wrong with those fees.

Is there no manual option to set the fee?
There are no options to choose from other than priority, normal etc... Ludicrous.

Beware of coinomi and their 'fees'.

Apparently you can change them under settings/transaction fees
