I fired up the bread machine last night while I was waiting for the soup to finish - chicken noodle soup and a freshly baked crusty loaf for supper. Pity homemade bread gets stale so quickly.

dude all of it is supposed to. the shop bread stays 'fresh' because of all the crappy chemicals.

WHAT!Are they still around? Used to love stuff from Bread Ahead when i use to stay in Durbs, that was THE place to get baked goods!Judging by your sentence, I take it their quality has gone down?

The original one in Cowey Rd is fine. They now also have all these other stores all over the place which get deliveries from the main one in Cowey Rd. I was at the one in dbn north once and was not impressed, then again I have not been to BA in a few years so things might have changed.
