The Brexit Thread

For Remain, it's the next best thing to a 2nd referendum. The UK is still an EU member during the delays, so if this goes on for a few more years, Remain wins anyway.
If the deal is accepted, it will only be a 14 month transition period where the UK EU free trade agreement needs to be agreed upon, otherwise it will be another crash out for the UK. I read earlier this is what JB wants which is why his deal is just as rubbish as May's.

If they don't accept deal, remainers need to hope and pray EU will grant an extension else it will be crash out in 14 days.

How many extensions do you want

They want time to legislate for a 2nd referendum. Remainers are crooks as Theresa May has just pointed out.

Most Remoaners will never vote for any deal ever. Some only claim to oppose No Deal but that is a mere distraction. Look how Remoaner MPs are shitting their pants right now that a deal might be passed.

Also another angle is the worst Tory MPs in history are either retiring (Clarke, Letwin, Greening) or will be booted out (Grieve is running as an independent lol). Once Remoaners lose these MPs they are finished given the closeness of the votes.

I've been watching bits of the proceedings live and haven't seen anything of the sort. Who did you read said that (as it's obvious you don't have a single original thought relating to this)?

WTF is wrong with you? Seriously the myopia, if not sheer bloody minded blindness on display is incredible. WTF do you think is going happen when the UK has no trade deals in place, no agreements for their citizens abroad, no agreements for all the migrant workers currently resident in the UK, no agreements on the border between Northern Ireland and Ireland, no plan or money to replace all the countless subsidies UK educational institutions and farmers currently receive etc etc etc.

I just can't believe a person who doesn't need a voice saying 'breath in, breath out' to remind them how to stay alive can be this blindly farking stupid.

Trade deals take years to negotiate, Britain is not the world superpower any more, they aren't sitting offshore tiny nations in force saying 'trade or else' anymore. No-one has to trade with them at the end of a gun anymore, which is I assume what you are hankering back to when you want to make Britain Great Again - the empire, tallyho old chaps and the sun doesn't go down on etc.

Ireland will collapse back into the violence.

Scotland will leave the union.

Farmers will go bankrupt without the cheap labour and subsidies propping them up.

In short leaving the EU is a monumental F-UP of Biblical proportions.

Welcome to what a few of us have known for some time, he’s not got a single thought of his own. As clearly displayed in the last 2 days.

So the conservatives have a majority coalition but can't vote together to pass this deal? Or would they need even more from the opposing side even if their coalition voted together?

They have lost the DUP votes for stabbing them in the back, so they need the support of the 21 Conservative MPs they kicked out of the party and some opposition MPs as well. It’s thought about 12 Labour MPs will side with them.

This is a projection from the BBC.

Does that mean they don't have a ruling majority? In which case can the rest of the opposing side not just vote them out in a motion of no confidence? Yeah I get that the opposition are probably too fractured for that to happen but in theory the ruling side don't have a majority, no?

See the infographic I just posted above. But yes, they don’t have a majority in the house.

Haha, I'm keeping this for later when none of your assertions come true. Calm down on the Kool Aid.

Initiating a VONC right now risks a no-deal Brexit happening. Once that's taken off the table, the VONC will happen and there will be an election.
