I suspect the Brexit Party took thousands of votes off Labour allowing the Tories to win in the Midlands and the North. We will see.

Yup, between 6 and 10% would be enough for some of those areas.

Interesting point made by Andrew Marr on the BBC. I won't lie, this will pose a challenge to traditional Tory economic orthodoxy:

If it is true - and it is only an exit poll - that the so-called "red wall" has fallen, that changes the nature of the Conservative Party.

There will be lots and lots of new Tory MPs representing areas that depend on public services and like high spending on them.
