Lol what did you expect? Actions don't have consequences?
Huh?

Pingdemic affected people over a short duration of 10 days.

Since we are now 2 months past that, what consequences are there?

Or are you saying the actions of Brexit, had these consequences, such as employee shortages, CO2 shortages, gas shortages, food shortages, material and equipment shortages, then yes I agree.

People called it Project Fear. Kinda became reality.

From what I can see, minimum wage on the UK is about £18k PA.

It was a rhetorical question, Cray ;)

NMW is £8.91 per hour, or on a 48 hour week (which seems to be what truckers work as 4 x 12 hour shifts a week) around £22k pa.

That's true, but electricity prices in the UK are the highest in Europe

That is also true.

I just wanted to point out that the UK's natural gas price (NBP) is basically the same as what is being paid in the EU, as measured at the Dutch TTF or German Gaspool, with most of the rest of the EU around the same level too.

Interesting to see that the HGV driver shortage isn't just in Britain, but also in Poland and Germany.

There is a dual problem, in the UK it’s Brexit and the failure to get new drivers into the system due to Covid, Poland and Germany will likely have the same Covid issue causing some shortages, but theirs is nowhere near the scale it is in the UK.

I always figured that the Polish problem with labour shortages was due to them all being here...
