I'm also thinking of getting one, but I'll wait for the refreshed model coming soon. They got rid of the two tone colour and the Adas/DiPilot is supposed to be much better.Any Dolphin Extended owners out there, like to hear your thoughts on the car...
I need a new car asap, my 2011 i20 has had enough.

Two dealerships in Cape Town confirmed. Not sure exactly when they will arrive.Released as yet or rumours?

Slightly O/T but what makes your 2011 i20 a "life hazard" lolI was also waiting for the refreshed version but current car is becoming a life hazard
I was even thinking of approaching a dealer to discuss buying the 2025 model with an option of upgrading to the 2026 model.
They can put me down as 2 sales, boost the figures a bit.

Well...
1. Hydraulic unit/ABS pump is gone - hard breaking ends in a lockup (quote for 2nd hand unit is R11k, new OEM is R45k)
2. Front disks and brakes will need replacing because of 1
3. Rear drum brakes had to be re-bonded
4. Other small things
After going through all the options, I'm probably going to just get a Swift Sport.
I would have easily gone for the Dolphin but with the confusion of government subsidies, imminent facelift, insurance looking horrible, plus I do maybe 1000kms a month - kind of doesn't make sense to drop R600k on it right now. I'm also assuming the facelift will bump up the price by R20/30k?
Swift Sport is still made in Japan, good ratings, cheaper insurance and I save R100k.
How much was the quote for the insurance?Well...

55Kw?? Nah...The surf for R350k? Goes 400km apparently
Checked on Hippo, quote was around R2500 for the Dolphin Extended. I see there are other options around discounts for limited kms driving and number of days driving etc which can potentially bring that figure downHow much was the quote for the insurance?
Wtf I'm with them now, that's crazy. It's about R200 less than the i20!Got a quote from Outsurance. Been with them for a while.
