I understand why telkom needs this cap since it is new to south africa and south africa has always been 2 steps behind everyone else
so eventually we will get there but when we get capped its so bad that i cant even browse internationally let alone going slowly everything just times out and for important things like anti virus or my messenger services i canot log into .Plz telkom you can keep the cap but at least give us 56k speeds internationaly for browsing that would be fine for me

I wouldn’t back down to Telkom. They certainly don’t give us the time of day so why should we give them the courtesy of exchange of service in the ADSL agreement. If it wasn’t the fact that MyADSL sent a complaint to ICASA, we would still be none the wiser. In actual fact, we are still none the wiser, because Telkom chose to answer the complaint in a generalising manner and not in point form like ICASA requested.
If Telkom were really committed to Customer Service and "In Touch with Tomorrow", they would have rolled out many different products for customer choice and pocket. They are a Monopoly, which sometimes isn’t always a bad thing, but in Telkom's case they are trying their utmost to strengthen their position in the market before the SNO starts shop. They are bent on maximising profits and they don't care who they trod on as they know we as consumers have no other choice of supplier of fixed lines in SA.
Don’t give Telkom the time of day. They certainly haven’t bothered to speak directly to us and they know we have issues that they can deal with if they really wanted to.
Think about it. Would you give another person your time if they couldn't be bothered about what your needs are. You would just ignore them.
