Today I went to watch Brazil practice at Siesu Ramabodu stadium here in the township outside bloem. Being one of about only 50 white guys out of 10 000 got me some looks but people were friendly.
Security was a mixed bag, with no where to safely park although there were tons of police around. At least 5 at each entrance and many in the stadium. There was also always either a SAPS or SANDF helicopter in the air. Roads were also closed off for the Brazil team to get there and the traffic officers were out in force. But what got me is the way I got in with out a "free" ticket which was needed to control the size of the crowd. I just told them I didnt have a free ticket and they just let me in. Surely that is not right? And then a full body search in which they didnt ask me to take anything out my pockets even though it could have been a gun or knife?
But other than that it was cool although boring as it was just a lotta stretches, running and a few odd shots. But name the players, I saw them. k@ka and Co were all there. (K@ka gets starred out cause of K@k
