The Craft Beer Thread

Seeing as it's the month of oktober... are there any JHB based breweries that have a special Festbier/Marzen on tap somewhere?

Where would I be able to find out ?

Spring is here, light the fires and start the festivities. Festbier is a seasonable extra strength Lager. Brewed to tradition with extended cold lagering.

I have been making use of extra fresh for abt 7 months really great beer really great concept!

I brewed my own marzen this yewr this it it freshly pulled off my keg at home

Try OC brewery they had a very limited release run, beautiful beer.

Brauhaus om dam has a permanent all year round marzen also great. Mad Giants is likely going to be the easiest to get also super yummy!
 
Wife decided to buy me random imported craft beer.

Owes its name not to a bird, but a car.

So I was floating round Serbia the last two weeks and you bet your bottom dollar I hit their craft brewers.

Some pics from the trip.

In short all their beer was amazing, yes including the macro beer! As many of you know IPAs are not my favorite style. BUT I learnt from this trip its not IPAs I dont like but badly balanced ones - something I think we suffer a bit in SA. Every single version I had on this trip was just beautifully balanced. From their single IPA all the way to their Triple IPA DDH etc. Beer is available everywhere including the kiosks on the street :)

Whilst my wife was working I spent a few hours in each of these over a number of days then we hit Kabinet together. Each highly recommended if you ever that part of the world.

Dogma (15 beers on tap all amazing! more IPAs than I can count and 2 WOW goses)

They made special effort to tell me Sack a triple hopped IPA was hopped with Southern Passion a SA hop variety.
