The Craft Beer Thread

Would rather go to Wembley on Tap, Devils Peak or Triggerfish if I want beer on tap.

PS, at the Beerhouse I saw to guys ordering Black Labels /facepalm.
 
Fair enough :)

I'm just glad I don't live too close to the beer house up in JHB - I would be very poor if I did.

Beer House is a great concept but horrifically overpriced, the CT one for me is a bit dodge, the one one in Fourways has a got a much better vibe

btw I believe The Wembley Tap has closed down
 
The Liquor City at Castle Walk does not display any of the craft beer prices. I casually took an interesting looking bottle close to the pay point. Price came up as R315 so I casually put it back...

Wow. The most expensive I can recall seeing is the Brewdog Tokyo at R120 or something (that's a small bottle too). Devils Peak have that beer/wine thing but it's a pretty big bottle. What beer was it?

I'd love to try one - just not willing to pay that sort of money.

Would be very awesome if Brew Dog opened a bar in SA - however I don't think that will ever happen...

Liquor City (Palmyra Road Claremont). Roeland Liquors is cool, but it's a mission getting there most times. Liqour City have the best selection I've found thus far in Cape Town, and friendly owners too.

Great success - yeah since moving here I've come to enjoy the craft beers (mostly) but not all retailers have them or a big selection - picknpay liquors and ultra carrying the least in my experience with Checkers being decent.

I'll give this a go thank you very much.
 
Just did Woodstock's Californicator back to back with Devil's Peak Blockhouse IPA and for me Californicator just edges Blockhouse. Both stunning though!
