The Craft Beer Thread

R350 at the Hemel & Aarde wine shop in Hermanus.

Was sealed so don't know what the free craft beers mean ...

The free beer applies when you visit the craft brewers at their brewery.

Saw a guy at the bottle store today picking out some craft for his colleagues. He says they have "Craft Beer Fridays" at his office.

Why are we not funding this?:wtf:

I want to work there.

Two Okes have introduced a coffee stout. Sounds rather interesting. Will report back.

So not quite craft but I do enjoy one of these from time to time

My new favourite is Brewdog's Five AM Red Ale. Marmalade flavoured perfection.

After work, I had some IPA on tap, from Riot in Palms Centre, Woodstock... It was good. He also supplies hops to some of the other brewers.

The Gulden Draak is 10%alc. Ain't gonna be drinking more than one of those :).

Heh. Is that kinda % a common thing there then? Like I don't think I've ever had anything like that on tap before /// would like to try a pint of something like that on tap - even tho it'll be the end of me :p.

Didn't know that. Will have to explore more Belgium beers then to see what it's all about. The B&U beers aren't that high in alc, but they're one of my favorite beers... will be interesting to see how the higher alc content beers compare in taste. I need to de-wuss before trying a few Belgium beers in one sitting tho :).
