The CPA isnt terrible, but in general I think Jack Black is just a fraction better than SAB.

You enjoying the kegging clarity by any chance?Traditional German Marzen, slow fermented for 3 weeks and lagered at freezing before kegging. Brilliant beer, this. The pictures maybe doesn't show this, but this beer is absolutely crystal clear:

At the price it is a bargain. Love these. Can only do two at a time though.First one of these. Not quite cold but interesting flavours. I shall keep the others for the weekend.

Which stout, if you drink that, do you prefer?I've had a few of those Eichbaum beers. I'm not a typical beer snob, and I like A LOT of the commercial offerings on the market. However, I hate pretty much all their beers. Their styles aren't bad, they're just really really bland for me. There's also a flavour that permeates through the whole range I've had so far, and I'm not a fan. It even picks up in their non-alcoholic offering, and that tells me it's not necessarily a flaw, but rather their flavour, so I'll give it to them. They make a beer I do not like. Simple.
I found the same thing with Eichbaum its almost like they use 1 beer and try flavor it to different beer styles.I've had a few of those Eichbaum beers. I've never thought of it that way, but that's a great way of putting it, yes.I found the same thing with Eichbaum its almost like they use 1 beer and try flavor it to different beer styles.
Was at the The Biggest Little Beer Shop the other day who usually have an awesome selection.so ... anyone know wtf is up with craft beer availability these days?
whenever the mood strikes and I think today is the day I buy a special treat for myself I find only the same tired old choices: Devils Peak, Jack Black, CBC (only the boring range) and Newland's Spring, where's the rest?!?
the online stores of Stellies Brewing and Drifter Brewing are completely out of stock, I know the multiple alcohol bans must've really hurt a bunch of breweries and the supply chain itself also took big knocks, but I just assumed they'll sort of recover by now
seems we're doomed to a choice of four brands and no interesting flavours, if you want a decent stout or an imperial IPA you can get fahked, just doesn't exist anymore![]()
that is a worry, never been but always hear people raving about the huge selection ... if they are struggling to source craft beer there must be something serious going on in the industryWas at the The Biggest Little Beer Shop the other day who usually have an awesome selection.
But it was terribly empty.
