The Craft Beer Thread

Only? o_O Daar issi n f0kken way nie.

R21 a tin of NEIPA is perfectly acceptable for me especially if craft and limited batches.

Remember neipas are dry hopped alot and hops are quite expensive, this one also incorporates lactose another expensive ingredient.

I get economies of scale but I'm happy to pay that for a great beer!

Holy crap. It's beer, right?
Oi you a home brewer now you must realize you can make super cheap great beer.

BuT

NEIPA and ipa use looooooaaads of hops.

Hops even when brewing is one of the most expensive ingredients.

I can appreciate a more expensive price tag on NEIPA and ipa. Not Weiss which can be turned out in 2 to 3 weeks and just has minor bittering hops

not to mention they are tricky to make for most homebrewers, they oxidise if you just look at them funny.

Indeed, my homebrew NEIPA lasted 1.5 weeks before oxidizing. You need the right equipment.

I gave it a shot bottling but won't do till I have kegs etc.

Another great beer to add. Only 130 per 6 pack from liquor city.

Especially when you pay R50 a tin for this bad boy...but it is amazing stuff.

Since Aegir is SO far away from where I live, I do not get hold of many of their beers. Luckily a mate of mine visits out that way regularly and dropped these off as a gift when he popped in for a whisky tasting session.
