The Craft Beer Thread

A beautifully brewed 10% Belgium tripel. Was made using westmalle yeast and is about 5 months old. Will be aged longer but dam it's fine already.

Perfect effervescence touch of banana and caramel. Can't tell it's 10% no "hot alcohol" taste just warming. Will be a beautiful winter beer.

Grabbed some interesting and different stuff off the net yesterday and it has already arrived.

Of course there are also some stalwarts included that I know already and are extremely good.

yeah no, while cheaper no beer is worth R500. even though they are getting up there now.
Seems to be a boom in the super limited releases this year. Everyone is doing something weird and wonderful.

I dont know if its just me - look I understand Mazen fest beer etc is "seasonal" in germany but there is no reason it has to be seasonal here brewed same way as a lager and its dam delicious wish they were available all year round... I think brauhaus is all year

Had a beautiful russian imperial stout (11.5%) at the worthogs pretoria chapter meeting last night - man wish we had more of that readily available...

The Afro Caribbean one is amazing...

What a pleasant surprise this stout turned out to be.

Very creamy mouthfeel for carbonated stout. Chocolate and coffee...with awesome dry finish. Loving this.
