It's easy to go back to your original (or any) firmware on the Galaxy S. The process is the same as installing a leaked firmware in the first place. Plug the phone into the PC in download mode, open Odin, and Flash whatever firmware you want.
I'm using their latest leaked Froyo firmware right now.

Good article though. The way Motorola locks down their phone in every way possible really bugs me. Hopefully carriers and manufacturers can't abuse Meego in the same way many of them abuse Androids openness. I want my phone to be open to install what I want on it, OS and software-wise, like my PC.

Maddmatt, the way I read it the writer's refering to official updaters released by the manufacturers. I'm however no expert on these "dark side" matters .
