The difference an ergonomic laptop stand can make

This laptop stand seems pretty generic to me. What makes it stand out from the other ones I've seen online? is there something that this particular stand provides which the others don't?

Sorry if I am being a bit picky, but I have seen several stands which are very similar and cheaper than this one. Why should I buy this one apart from the others? The others seem to come with cooling fans too.

Fully agree. Bought a Ergo-tilt, I believe it was called, in 2008 or 2009, very similar design, made in SA for R 99. Later they went for R 129. The cheaper ones with fans work well, but are not as sturdy and do not collapse as flatly.

It's just an advert ;). Honestly I'd have preferred some comparisons rather than just punting that one stand.

Not enough elevation. Laptop needs to be at eye height/just below.

Use with external KB+M & another screen.

This disadvantage of increasing the height of the laptop is that your hands have to be higher.

Ideal would be to get a stand but also get an external keyboard .
