hi,

I have just modified a java script RSS reader to work on my website www.nerdactive.com. I have tagged the HTML code correctly or so it seems. If i view it in FireFox it looks fine with a Bold heading, if i view it in IE 6 it looks as if it is not reading the tags correctly. or has it own style sheet or something as it all comes out bold, I cant figure it out as the text that is not generated by javascrpt looks fine. Am i missing something ?? I have even tried to define the font style and kill bold"

Please help

Sorry bru, u just have to face it IE sucks!!

Might be soemthing to do with the page rendering the content. It seems like its redering the whole page and then only doing the javascript pull in of the rss. So maybe it not applying any styles to the rss. Cant see the source in IE though.

Try http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/ - ive implemented it with some success

BIG UP FIREFOX!!

thanks, it is really odd, I would be happy if IE just burned in hell, but unfortunitly that is what most people still use. I know I am going to be up vary late to night.

But thanks.

Noticed a lot of the same issues when making web pages. IE just wasn't built to look at web pages... well not properly anyway. The sometimes you fix it so it looks good in IE by using some really weird and non standerd methods, then FF doesn't work again, which is understanable because it's not the standerd way of doing it. I feel your pain :(
