Does this still work? the Opt Out db? The link to the member Companies that adhere to the DMA does not work.

Reason for asking is I wanted to check if Cell C is a member, because I'm getting sick of phone calls from them, and also other Cellular network providers, trying to sell me shyte I do not want. I have been registered on the Opt Out database for years... And why the hell do Cell C want to talk to my Wife? Phoning my company Cell Number? HTF do they even link her to my work number? Irritated!

MyBB Staff writers, or RPM... how about a good investigation into this for us. Which companies are registered with the DMA and still contact "Opt Out" members.

Well, when I joined I got way less calls. But I still get the occasional one.

From Major companies such as Cell C, Vodacom, Virgin Mobile, MTN ??? Its always them... From what I have tracked so far, my call originated from Blake Associates in Durban (+27 31 538 4000) . They are a "Tele Sales" Company. Obviously outsourced for clients such as the before mentioned. I am now waiting for someone in a senior management position to call me back with my legal request that they furbish me with where & how they obtained my contact information.

Well after I registered Cell C haven't phoned me again. Yesterday I got a call on my landline from telkom, but I don't think that number is registered and I am a client of theirs so I probably agreed to something there.
