So what's got you guys excited at E3 so far?

For me it's Mass Effect 3! I mean take a look at this!

The Kinect support for ME3 looks pretty good too :)

Apparently nobody was interested in what X-box had to say cause they where going to try push the kinect (Have they done the full key note presentation or was just announcements?).

I liked PS3 new split/single screen gaming idea by using the access of 3D glasses.

Just read about Nintendo's new console, lots of excitement seems to be buzzing. I have to say if there is ever a console to bring strategy map based games to console this seems like it, due to the touch screen controller.

Most of the Kinect stuff does seem a bit kind of meh.. but a few of the ideas I've seen are stupendous.... think it was Ghost Recon Future Soldier that looked like a bloody well thought out use of Kinect

Gears of War 3, Uncharted 3, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Forza 4. The summer is going to be epic!!!

Uncharted 2 and Battlefield 3. > all

Uncharted 3 looks epic....

It seems to be the year of the sequels though. Not a lot of original IP's coming through.

Not that I'm complaining, I'm looking forward to them all! :D

Mass Effect 3 looks cool, anyone else a little disappointed that the back drop has moved to Earth? It seems like the first two had this grand scope, exploring the galaxy. The solar system was always there but it had little consequence in the scheme of things.

Moving the action back to Earth seems like a failure of imagination. Hopefully the Earth part will only be a minor part.

Battlefield 3 and Ghost Recon on the Kinect!!! Need to see more videos of GR with Kinect!

I haven't played ME but isn't that how the series is supposed to go, with a final battle for Earth?

I don't see how moving back to Earth is a failure of imagination.. more a tightening of scope... if anything having your first two games out in the galaxy and then your final one back at home makes it more personal and such.

I'm sure there will be even more space exploring than before, from what I understand you are on a mission to get allies to help you protect earth.

Well my personal take on the first two games was always that you where part of something larger than Earth (the first game culminated in the battle for the citadel). Making Earth the key point in defending the whole Galaxy from the reapers doesn't quite fit in with the whole concept of many different races all contributing equally for a common causes. Considering the peripheral role that Earth played in the first two games , how will they justify it now being the place for the final confrontation. Of course nothing will prevent me from playing the game and am sure it will still be good. Will just have to wait and see how the justify the storyline.

Nothing wrong with sequels, especially if they belong to great franchises, so I'm not really sure what they're complaining about. Original games will turn up eventually.

I am not so sure about that, what more can we actually come up with that has not been done already?

Would be so keen for a blackbuster zombie game along the lines of I am Legend... Or augmented reality headset that allows you to have a shootemup in your back yard, the mall or in a forest with your mates and bots, would be crazy... Or mega sized boss battles in your city.
