The easy solution for better Internet access during lockdown

The government has instructed the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) to enable the temporary licensing of all available spectrum bands.

Telecoms operators have seen an increase in traffic on their networks after people started to work from home amidst the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa.

This will be perfect timing for Vodacom MTN Cell C Telkom and Rain to show DoC how additional spectrum allocation can reduce data bundle pricing "MB or GB" in bundle pricing in general if they get temporary spectrum but fail to implement aggressive temporary data bundles i won't believe them anymore about additional spectrum allocation will reduce data price by much.
Vodacom and MTN can launch 3GB for R49 valid 7days
Telkom can launch 5GB for R49 valid 7days
Point is Vodacom and MTN will always be expensive and Cell C is too broke

They should make it indefinite until spectrum is assigned.
