Is it over? Will the world's economy slowly start to rebuild itself from here on out or will it suffer another significant blow before it gets better?
The dollar is falling and the price of oil is rising, signs that the economy is showing signs of recovery. The former due to the fact that everyone who hoarded their monies in America during the storm is now once more shifting their money to the international sector. The demand for oil is rising (maybe since everyone is now driving second hand clunkers with gas guzzling engines).
In South Africa, the JSE has risen 7000 points to over 23000 from a low of 16000 not so long ago. The Rand has regained much of its previous value against the Euro and Pound. The headlines are no longer dominated by economic crisis stories.
So, are we on the road to recovery or is there a relapse waiting to happen?
