The Economic Free-everything March ?

Just watched the Youth League showing their true colours once again, live on E-news. Journalist was interviewing a member and getting his side. He apparently has a degree, yet no job. As he began to explain, hands and finger started entering the scene and he was pulled away by a senior member and the journalist was warned that under no circumstances are the press allowed to talk to the youth league members. She objected but he didn't give a crap.

So instead of hearing their reasoning, they're instead preventing the press from talking to marchers and basically threatening the media. And its not even 08:30 yet...

The worrying thing is that we are sitting at 27% unemployment, vs. 8% in the US, with that being a crisis there. Its an untenable situation and something has to change or give. Granted, the ANCYL are a bunch of clowns, but the fact is that as long as unemployment remains as high as it is we will continue to have high crime rates and low economic growth.

As a wise man once said, never underestimate the power of a large group of stupid people....

He had a degree in international relations. Quite clearly gunning for a government job. Although he'd struggle to relate to anyone without their translators present...

People keep ranting on about economic freedom but is there a site or something that actually shows what they are meant to be delivering? Is this like South Africa version of OccupyWallstreet?

Also keep in mind that it might have been a degree from the Venda University (or some other crappy one no one has ever heard of).

I think that they are marching for better working hours. This notion of pitching up at 8am to start doing something is for counter revolutionaries.

We demand to only start at 11am.

So what happened when the ANCYL met up with their 'Occupy JSE' brethren?

Well ... they were even late for that start. Whole bunch of noisy yoofs (some of them in their 40's and 50's looks like) just bggrd off up sauer street towards Braamies

Pity the heatwave is over, hopefully we can get some real highveld thunderstorms for the next 2 days.
Two days of rain will be even better. Let's see how dedicated they are to their little cause.
