Not the spanish thread. he is Catalan long before he was ever a gunner. His family and friends are all in Spain.

Dont rule out a move back to his home in the future.
 
yeah he said he wants to eventually..that doesnt mean anytime soon.. maybe in 4 or 5 years

Ya, im sure all gunner fans hope so. I just wouldnt want him to play for Real. For the nxt 5 years he can stay at Arsenal. Then he can come home after that.

Barca dont need him in the midfield.
 
There's so much of crappy rumours about transfers out there, will someone please post here when there is a sure transfer in our team ....
 
no i personally dont think so, i dont think it would matter which club he chose in terms of nurturing him

maybe he is wanting to go to arsenal because he sees more of chance to play than at united who in all honesty have alot of good players, well alot more in terms of arsenal who have a pretty small squad

i think he will find first team footie at arsenal a lil easier due to the smaller squad size

United were going to loan him back to his old team, I said long before that he shouldnt go with them for that reason.

Why would you want to sign for a big club but then be forced to play in your old team.

U must be on crack dude. Manure's squad is no way better or have a bigger squad. We had a bad run of injuries, simple.
 
my thoughts on this have nothing to do with supporting united i just feel arsenal's major weakness is the size of their squad
 
@xeo57 , in this instance Killadoob is correct, most other sides have larger squads. It is this factor that has cost us in the end. There is not enough players to step up when our regulars get injured.

With Eduardo and Robin VP out injured, all we had left was Ade (I want to go to Milan) and Bendtner.

Gallas, Toure and Senderos (Oh dear not him) is our specialist Centre Backs, we have at times had to start with Gilberto in there.

Whereas ManU , have a lot more to choose from.

It is not a criticism, just merely stating a fact.

What grates my nerves is Arsene stating in the press, that Centre Back is not one of our concerns, he won't be looking at strenghtening in that area.

I guess we will have to contend ourselves with being 2nd or 3rd for another season.

I would get rid of :
Adebayor (Milan want to pay 32Million pounds, (strongly rumoured,don't know if it's true, but anyone that wants to pay 32mil for him, then yes please) ,

Gilberto and Senderos(both have been linked with moves to Juventus ),

Hleb (he seems intent on leaving, so why keep him around, he will affect the morale in the squad, ciao bella then barca or bayern, who cares)

If we can collect some 40-50 Million pounds in total from these sales, I am certain Arsene(scrooge) will be able to use it wisely. But he does hate spending money I must say.

Well with Ramsey on his way for 5 million Pounds and Nasri predicted to be coming at 12million, I think he is about done with his wheeling and dealing.

Couldn't agree more! If they offering 32 mil for Adebayour they should take. Scrape some pennies together after selling a few "hanger-oners" and we can get a class act like Villa, who lets be honest, is just awesome at the moment.

Looking forward to how Nasri and Ramsey fair in the next season.
 
Yeah, if Ade and Hleb leaves, and if we sign Ramsey and Nasri, then we shud also invest in either Benzema or Villa, and at least one decent center back ;)
 
Why does everybody put Benzema on thier transfer list. He has made it clear since mid season that he doesnt want to go.
 
Senderos isnt that bad.. He's decent backup as he proved when Kolo went to ACN. No one was arguing then, only after the 2nd Pool game where he made a few mistakes, which every defender does now and again.. He is still young and will get better..

Song is also looking decent at CB..

The only player i'd like see sold is Eboue.. and maybe Djourou and Hoyte
 
Guessing sometime early this coming week.. if the rumours are true he had his medical on friday

So expect something official Monday/Tuesday
