Well that's the jibe with homeo/Natreo/Herbal remedies they are selling something that is supposed to have an active ingredient which acts on a condition.

So either you are selling water or poison. If its got the active ingredient in any kind of usable form then it will kill you and if its dilute enough to not kill you then its water.

Woah now. Don't lump homeopathy in with herbal or natural medicines.

Natural medicines are usually things like using willow bark to help with a headache. They can still be effective. A ton of our modern medicine is synthesised versions of natural remedies.

Homeopathy is just a bunch of magical nonsense.

We have a family friend who is now extremely sick, probably terminal - because for months they went to a homeopath who instead of diagnosing the actual problem they had, sent them home with apple cider vinegar and and drops diluted to 999999999th parts.

I have the right mind to go spraypaint "murderer" on this quack's front wall but unfortunately they CHOSE to go there instead of to a proper doctor.

These people should be round up and arrested and forced to stop practicing garbage.

Its all part of the same scam. If any of these things were remotely effective they would be medicine.

Anything that hasn't been though clinical trials is either water or poison. If you are lucky then its just water.

You are 100% wrong.

Willow bark for example has been used for centuries as a pain reliever. Long before clinical trials existed. The active ingredient in willow bark is Salicin. It has a very real and today well understood mechanism of action. Aspirin itself is a related salicylate.

Willow bark was not, and is not, a scam. It also doesn't suddenly become an efficacious treatment just because it's trialed.

Many of the modern medicines we use today are synthesised and concentrated variants of the active ingredients found in natural medicines. I've just provided one such example. Who knows what other efficacious treatments we could discover by analysing the active ingredients found in our natural world, used by people we consider less advanced than ourselves.

Homeopathy by contrast, is just a bunch of magical garbage with no active ingredients and no scientific backing at all. Molecular memory my arse.

Perhaps you've misunderstood what natural medicines are or are ignorant of just how much they've contributed to our modern world.

Sorry to hear that. If that homeopath was telling your friend that the water he was sending him home with was going to cure him perhaps you do have a case? Surely claiming your whacko untested bull is a reliable cure has legal consequences?

I lost a very close friend to HIV because he took the sangoma's treatment over that of modern medicine. It's a terrible world we live in.
