The iBurst Flea Market

iBurst 2mb modem
Linksys router flashed with dd-wrt
Omni Antenna
Directional Antenna
10m extensional cable

PM for pricing. In Midrand area.

I'm looking for a Omni antenna for a friend
Ideally in Durban or at least somewhere in KZN
Please PM

Does anyone have a USB Iburst modem for a good price, JHB area? It's for my wifes laptop.

Also still looking for a desktop modem, either std or the 2MB one

I have a black standard terminal that I would be willing to let go - works perfectly, and has simply been replaced by a 2Mb terminal. I'm not big on posting stuff, so let's keep it to Midrand and surrounds, or Edenvale/Germiston. Unless you want to drive up from Durban to collect... ;)

UPDATE: SOLD!

Got a USB modem the black one with small antenna.

Also have a desktop modem but can't find the power supply... make me an offer

I have two iBurst modems, one is the usb & the other a destop modem. Moved onto adsl & wanna swop them for a decent size hard drive.

Have a 1MB desktop modem for sale in Cape Town area. Not sure what they are going for so make me an offer if interested.
Has all the goodies - cable and PSU.

On another note - looking for a second hand omni antenna. Moved recently and signal is kind of horrid at new location.

Iburst speed

Hi Mcdui, I'm glad you mention this cause I always wondered. For what usage exactly would you not recommend iBurst?

I'm actually already connected and I never really felt it was that bad. I mean, it's not european speed but unless you use it gaming (which I don't), I find it's ok.

For me, these are the advantages of iBurst:
1) 20Gb for R200 is not bad
2) you don't have to go through the hassle of getting an ADSL line from telkom (it's fine if you're going stay where you are for long but if you're only there temporarily it's a schlep)
3) you can use the same contract to connect from different locations (which is why I'm looking for a second modem)
4) month-to-month contract (you'll never see me signing a 2 years contract ever again!!)
.. but maybe there are better option out there that I'm not aware of. If there are, let me know! ;)
