I think that's why they're delaying the "launch", because they're waiting for the other stock.

It would be a tad unfair if they gave out the game to some people and not others, no? :)
 
im 42. checked my preorder status with btgames in Northage on Friday. They confirmed the 15th(today). dunno about any screwup. This is the EU version. Sounds like people with US version are gonna be waiting a while. Thats is sucky !!, however, who knows what the state of the servers are going to be like for the first day or so.
 
@zippy, ill email them and make sure as the information i got was from a btgames person... just make sure :)
 
What does buying the game get you? Cant you just upgrade your account online? I hope its not like the division that extension of Guildwars caused :(

Well, im getting the collectors edition and it includes a coffee table book of the artwork, DVD and CD version of the game, some other DVD's with the soundtrack, a mouse pad, and you also get an in-game netherwelp pet, which I believe has "some production issues", so it cant be activated just yet. Cost about R355. R100 more, i think.

It will create a division, cause if dont buy the expansion, you cannot, amongst other little things:

1. Go to Outland
2. Creat a Draenai or Blood Elf character
3. level professions past 300 skill(the trainers are in Outland, i am told).
4. I think you cant take up jewelcrafting.
5. Most importantly, and this affects pvp realms more. You are stuck at lvl 60. You find yourself up against a bored lvl 70. Sure for a week or 2 EPL and WPL etc., will be relativly peaceful, but after.....
6. Battlegrounds. lvl 60 AB and WSG will now be lvl 60-69. You will be outclassed here(even in yr T3 set, so they say), and you cant level to become competitive.

I heard the bracket would be 61-69 and then 70 by itself...so players without the expansion couldnt be 'eaten' by higher lvl players who have the expansion...not sure if its fact though:cool:
 
so in other words .. buy it :) - im also getting collectors ... and i'm going away this weekend ... so i'll get it on thurs evening (hopefully) and then I can't play for the whole weekend!!!! arrrrggg!!!
 
My wife is going to pick up the games. My cell-phone battery died on me and I cant check with her. .

I hope I get an email to say: "I got the games" and not "Theres a delay"

haha. guild leader asked if there is anything in the collectors which makes someone uber l33t. Maybe the mouse pad qualifies. We'll see.

Well, true to form. There is a delay. BTGames anyway, dunno about the other stores. ETA is Wednesday 18th, and this is a pre-order :mad:

I wouldnt argue with that either. Lots of speculation about "what will be"
 
Well its a good thing WoW is such an amazing game, otherwise people might notice how far up the nose we're paying for it.

How much have you guys spent on WoW so far?
 
original game purchase = R400
1 years subscription = $15 x 7 x 12 = R1260
expansion = R450
next years subscription = R1260

Note: In this year I have not bought another game and cut down my drinking and partying by about 30%...so I would say Im breaking about even!;)

Will wait a bit and try get a collecters edition and another from gamersloot.

Thing is, I wonder if BTgames or any other distributer here will get the US version seeing as the 'legal' version distributed in SA was the EU version.

If not available, will have to bug the cousin overseas for a copy. Failing that, who here can provide (will re-imburse of couse!)?
 
i used to have the us version. tried to see if btgames could get the expansion for it. they couldnt. so a friend and myself decided to go eu.

Well, I used to spend between 1 and 2 grand a month on movies, eating out, buying loads of imported magazines every weekend, beer, etc.

Now I spend about R600 every 3 months(my wifes account as well) on WoW, so its saving me a lot of money. I dont count the ADSL costs, cause I spent that before I played WoW.

The downside is that I feel odd when I go to the shopping center. Find it kinda noisy. Look at the people as if they are trash mobs in a instance. No elites ???. What a noob instance !!!

eeek. Do I need help ? probably. Do I want help. NO. having too much fun. hehe.
