i searched the forums, but didn't find anything, so i'm starting something. in much the same tradition as the "questions only" thread and "3 words only" thread, here's the "lyrics only" thread.
put simply, you can only converse using lines from songs, as per "whose line is it anyway?"
points will be awarded accordingly:
i'll accept tunes from tv shows, especially monty python.
you can also use band names and song titles.
lyrics can be continued within a song across posts if no associations are made.
use of double entendre is encouraged.
if all goes well, after 6 months, i'll choose a winner. this will be based entirely on my own arbitrary criteria. the winner will receive a great designer t-shirt of their choice from one of 3 possible sources... it'll be nice, i promise.

- use of a popular well known song: +50
- use of an obscure song in a very clever way: +100
- use of a question/statement in a song which points to another song +1000
- use of an obscure song that kills conversation: -10 000
- lyrical non sequitir: -500
- posts without the use of lyrics (you can comment and add lyrics): -100
- use of pink floyd, bob marley or jim morrison lyrics: hall of fame
- use of lyrics from any celine dion song: hall of shame
