Must be frustrating to not get the 3 points and narrow the gap.

Barca have a chance to pull another 3 points clear tonight against Getafe. If we fail to do that, i will be pissed. Getafe are a decent outfit tho, they have good record at the Nou camp.

Bleh. These international friendlies are utterly pointless and stupid. Is it not enough that the players are already playing so many games?
Back on topic - we were poor on Saturday. It was a chance to catch up with Chelsea and Liverpool but we failed to take advantage.

Forget it - it's like banging your head against a brick wall. Been going on for ages now. Supa and his cronies have destroyed this section for everyone. They are under the impression that anyone who posts here needs to eat, sleep and breathe football, know every team, player, statistic and the histories associated - otherwise, they'll just attack you. This entire section should be closed if they're not banned - it's a sad and ridiculous cycle.

Henry - you're right, most supporters/fans don't post here anymore because of it...
Brilliant post and totally agree! And don't even mention Ronaldo is better than Messi cause then they'll start crying and you wont hear the end of it.:p

I guess the international break did worse for the players than it did any good...

Time to banish the demons of last season...

I rate a 2-0 win. Hope it is a better game than last week at least.

1-0 FT

We were lucky to come out of that with 10 men. The ref had a poor game.

Good to see BBT back from injury so soon.

Rafael looked like a legend as well.

Park is still rubbish. He always gets himself into great positions, and he is the last player you want in such situations.

Carrick looked good in the 1st half. 2nd half I thought he faded.

Tevez and Fergie must have had a falling out of some such. If Giggs is getting brought on instead of him...Tough times.

Red card was a bad decision, and as for Rafael's 'foul' down the right which was given by the linesman. These officials are meant to be professionals. How embarrassing.

The ref had a great game! What are you talking about the ref having a poor game? I think the only error for the day was made by the lines man on Rafael.

I'm starting to really dislike Ronaldo. He's acting like a little fckn spoilt brat. He was rude to the ref and that had a big impact on the sending off. As the commentator said, "The referees revenge...". And WTF was Ferguson thinking by playing Ronaldo on the left? JC I don't understand these people sometimes.

I agree that he was not at his best in that game. But all players, great or otherwise have an off game or two and can be really frustrating.

What angers me, is that people are saying that clapping at the ref in that sarcastic fashion got him sent off. If that is the case, then Webb should not be a professional referee.

He is meant to judge each incident as it happens and react accordingly. Not send people off because of who they are or how they might have upset him previously.

As much as it is easy to hate Ronaldo and call him all kinds of names, I stand by the fact that the ref had the discretion to issue the second yellow or not. He chose to issue it, which was the wrong decision.

This is getting really irritating. If you handle the ball in the box - 100% all refs will give a card. If it is the 2nd minute of the game or the 89 minute of the game. If the team is leading 10 - 0 and handles the ball - it will still be a yellow.

Stop moaning, its not a Ronaldo thing. If it were any other player, he would have got a card. If Ronaldo was not on a yellow and the incident happened - he would have got a yellow.

Do you watch football? How can you not know this?

I have showed you the rules. If you do not understand them, it is not my fault. I am not moaning, I am pointing out the facts, and the law.

You cannot disagree with the rules of the game, whether you like it or not.

The ref had the discretion to give the yellow or not. He chose to. It was not the right decision, according to the rules of the game quoted above. The end.

So why is it that every single newspaper and footballing site in the WORLD said that it is a straight yellow for the offence?

Why is it that you think differently? Please explain that to me. I really want to try and understand you. BUT i have never ever seen a player get away with handling the ball, and not recieve a card. NEVER EVER!!

Wow, how many personalities do you have? Is it necessary to 'argue' this same point in two threads?

*sigh

You have never seen a player handling a ball and not getting a yellow card? Are you serious?

Not in that situation, i have never seen a player get away with it. NEVER EVER!!

Its a straight card cos it cannot be seen as accidental.

Thanks a lot for getting my thread closed guys

I stand by every word.

If ****ers want to argue with me, when I am right and have backed it up with facts, then that is their problem, not mine.

And if the mods refuse to do anything about it, other than lock the thread, then that is also not my problem.

I shall continue to debate football as I see fit.
